A vesper bell is a bell rung to call worshipers to Vespers, or evening prayers. Traditionally, in both the Roman Catholic and Protestant liturgies, Vespers includes the Song of Mary-- known as the Magnificat from the Gospel according to Luke, in addition to several psalms and prayers. My dear husband gave me these chimes for my birthday. They are perfectly tuned. They are called the "Vespers". The birds, their also perfectly tuned and such a blessing. Sit back close your eyes and relax!
